Peter Szaszfai

my name is Peter and I am 30 years old. I am fully qualified and experienced artist blacksmith. I have worked in my own studio for 12 years. I am able to work on my own initiative as well as a part of a team. I specialize in hand forging and traditional blacksmithing techniques. I love creating my own original designed forged products and a I can create, read and follow the technical drawings, too. I try to show people the difference between traditional hand forged products and mass produced items during all my work period.

Pietrino Dettori

My name is Pietrino Dettori and I'm a blacksmith from Sardinia (Italy). I would like to have a working experience in the UK so as to improve my English. I started my working experience 20 years ago, so far I have had an interesting working experience in the Czech Republic where I have attended a training course at the Helfistn Castle with Alfred Habermann, the course comprised drawing skills, Luiss XVI style embossed work, tools construction skills. In 2006 I joined in the creation of the sculpture which is carried out every year at the Helfstyn Castle, on this occasion I worked with the masters Jiri Batâ from the Czech Republic, Roberto Giordani and Gianluca Volonterio from Italy. Last year I attended a course in free sculpturing held by the master Pavel Tasovski.
At the moment I'm looking for a blacksmith workshop where I could work and gain experience so as to improve and widen my knowledge about my profession, but, at the same time I would like to attend an English course too.

Blacksmith Abroad

My name is Trenton Tye and I am a professional smith in Georgia, USA. I travel at length doing historical demonstrations, circa 1850, and also visit other smiths shops in a journeyman fashion. I have had my eye on coming overseas for some time now. Thanks to a recent large commission, I will have some free time and extra change in pocket in the fall of the year. I would like to find a host forge for a few weeks, perhaps even a month. Do you know of any smiths that would be open to the idea?
